This week, we spoke with Calanit Paz Cohen, a life coach living in Miami, FL.
I met Calanit about eight years ago when I was on a trip to Israel called Meor Upgrade. I was on a part of my Jewish journey where I was nearly all in, but was holding off because I was nervous that I was going to let go of and lose myself. Calanit was the perfect role model for me at that stage of my journey — she was so herself and this wonderful religious Jewish woman. I had an emotional conversation with her on that trip that really changed things for me and how I saw what things could be — how I could be myself and bring that person into my religious life — so it’s a really full circle moment for her to be coming on this podcast now talking about living an authentically.
And, it’s no surprise that she literally makes a living now coaching others to live a more authentic, true life.
We’re already in the final days before Rosh Hashanah and while this episode is evergreen, it’s also the perfect way to get us into a good headspace as we’re approaching the start to another year.
In this episode, we speak about:
- How Calanit figured out what her passion in life was
- What authenticity coaching is
- What to do when you don’t feel like yourself — maybe it’s around certain people or doing certain things
- How to connect to yourself more deeply and how in turn, that can connect you to Hashem more deeply
- How and why living an authentic life is living a life according to Hashem’s will
- How to approach angry, sad or confused feelings that come up in this spiritual relationship
- How we can all approach Rosh Hashanah without fear and rather with a new closeness to Hashem
…and so much more!
